XR technologies have become increasing accessible. Still limited in consumer use, the commercialization of XR has opened up the medium to a new population of creators, including artists and designers. Within the lab we’ve developed a library of hardware and software as a way for faculty and students to directly engage with the topic and understand these emerging technologies that range from gaming development software like Unity and UnReal, to mobile motion capture suits like the Perception Neuron, to the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Hololens, and Leap Motion sensors.
Through this transdisciplinary space and diverse technology library we are intermixing and purposely confusing the _Rs in order to open up new opportunities within the field.
